Ryan's award-winning short films have played at top festivals across the country including SXSW, Palm Springs, DC Shorts, Starz Denver, The Methodfest, San Francisco Indiefest, LA International Shorts, Athens International and Palm Beach International Film Festivals. His recently directed SUCKER PUNCH, won an Audience Choice Award at DC Shorts Film Festival, for their roles in his film PENANCE, both lead actors received nominations for Best Actor in a Short Film at this year's Methodfest and in 2001 Ryan's thesis short PG, won the Warner Brother's Pictures Film Production Award Fund at NYU. His online comedy videos, under the banners ZINJANTHROPUS and DAILY FIBER, have featured monthly on the main page of Will Ferrell's FunnyorDie.com, screened at the LA Comedy Shorts and Friar's Club Comedy Film Festivals and won the Upload Showdown on Comedy Central's Adam.com. Currently, Ryan is writing and plans to direct a feature length comedy LORD JIM, as he continues to launch a video a month with DAILY FIBER. Ryan is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (BFA, 2001) and was selected for the BBC Director's Training Program in London (Spring, 2000). He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
